Fundamental Principle of Counting and Permutations

Systematic ways of counting how many ways a sequence of events can occur.

Fundamental Principle of Counting

If one event can occur in $m$ ways and a second in $n$ ways, both together can occur in $m \times n$ ways.

Permutations

A permutation is an arrangement of objects where order matters.

$$^nP_r = \frac{n!}{(n-r)!}$$
