Rules for Inequalities
Inequalities can be solved much like equations, with one key exception: multiplying or dividing by a negative number reverses the inequality sign.
Example: Solve $2x - 3 < 7$.
$2x < 10 \Rightarrow x < 5$
$2x < 10 \Rightarrow x < 5$

Inequalities in two variables can be solved graphically, representing the solution as a shaded region on a graph.
