Equilibrium in Physical and Chemical Processes
What it means for a reversible process to reach a state of balance.
Dynamic Equilibrium
At equilibrium, the rate of the forward reaction equals the rate of the reverse reaction, so the concentrations of reactants and products remain constant over time — but the reactions have not stopped.
Le Chatelier's Principle
If a system at equilibrium is disturbed (by a change in concentration, pressure, or temperature), the equilibrium shifts to partially counteract that change.
