Carbohydrates, Proteins and Lipids
The major organic molecules that make up living organisms.
Carbohydrates
Serve primarily as a source of energy and structural support (e.g. cellulose in plant cell walls).
Proteins
Built from amino acids; perform structural, enzymatic, and regulatory roles in the body.
Lipids
Include fats and oils; used for energy storage and forming cell membranes.
