Modals: Can, Could, May, Must, Might

Helping verbs that express ability, permission, possibility, or necessity.

Modals: Can, Could, May, Must, Might

Modals वे helping verbs हैं जो किसी action के बारे में ability (क्षमता), permission (अनुमति), possibility (संभावना), necessity (आवश्यकता), obligation (कर्तव्य) आदि का भाव व्यक्त करते हैं।

Easy Concept: Modal के बाद हमेशा Verb की V1 (base form) आती है।

Modal + V1
Example: He can swim.   She may come.   You must work.
Golden Rule: Can, Could, May, Might, Must के बाद verb में s/es, ed या ing नहीं लगता।

He can play. ✅
He can plays. ❌
