Tips for Correct Spelling

Correct Spelling English Grammar और Vocabulary का एक important part है। Board Exam में spelling की छोटी-सी mistake भी answer की quality को प्रभावित कर सकती है। इसलिए common spelling rules, confusing words और गलतियों को पहचानना सीखना बहुत जरूरी है।

1. Correct Spelling क्यों Important है?

• Answer की accuracy बढ़ती है।
• Vocabulary मजबूत होती है।
• Writing अधिक clear और professional लगती है।
• Board Exam में spelling mistakes कम होती हैं।
• Unseen passage और writing section में गलतियाँ कम होती हैं।

2. Spelling सीखने का सही तरीका

किसी word की spelling याद करते समय केवल उसे एक बार पढ़ना पर्याप्त नहीं है। इन चार steps का प्रयोग करें:

1. Look – word को ध्यान से देखें।
2. Break – word को छोटे parts में बाँटें।
3. Say – word का pronunciation बोलें।
4. Write – word को बिना देखे लिखें।

इसे इस तरह याद कर सकते हैं:

Beau + ti + ful = Beautiful

इसी तरह:

• Different → dif + fer + ent
• Necessary → neces + sary
• Government → govern + ment
• Environment → environ + ment

3. I और E का Common Rule

एक common spelling rule है:

i before e, except after c

लेकिन English में exceptions भी होते हैं, इसलिए इसे absolute rule न मानें।

4. Double Letters पर ध्यान दें

कई English words में double letters आते हैं। Students अक्सर एक letter कम या ज्यादा लिख देते हैं।

5. Words Ending in -Y

लेकिन यदि y से पहले vowel हो, तो कई cases में y बना रहता है।

• play → played
• enjoy → enjoyed
• stay → stayed

6. Words Ending in -FUL

-ful का अर्थ होता है “full of” (से भरा हुआ)।

• care + ful = careful
• beauty + ful = beautiful
• help + ful = helpful
• use + ful = useful
• hope + ful = hopeful

7. Words Ending in -LY

Adjective को adverb बनाने में अक्सर -ly लगाया जाता है।

• quick → quickly
• slow → slowly
• careful → carefully
• beautiful → beautifully
• honest → honestly

8. Silent Letters को पहचानें

कुछ English words में ऐसे letters होते हैं जिन्हें pronunciation में नहीं बोला जाता। इन्हें silent letters कहते हैं।
