Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction
Whenever the magnetic flux through a circuit changes, an EMF is induced, proportional to the rate of change of that flux.
Lenz's Law
The induced current always flows in a direction that opposes the change in flux that produced it — a consequence of the conservation of energy.
